FARINGDON
FOLLIES: The Making of Grand Eccentric has won The Dr.
Henry and Lilian Nesburn Playwright Award in the prestigious Beverly
Hills Theatre Guild-Julie Harris Playwright Competition out of some
500 entries. The Award comes with a $1,500 prize.
Additionally, FARINGDON FOLLIES had a staged reading
in the town of Faringdon, UK, during its Arts Festival on Sunday,
July 11 (2 PM).
Well-known stage and screen actor Jeremy
Bulloch read the parts of three characters in the play.

Actually, in this case, it's was a "supermarketed reading!"
In keeping with the eccentric nature of the play's subject (Lord
Berners), it took place in the produce section of the local supermarket!
Now that's a town with a wonderfully wacky sense of humor, isn't
it?
